The Neurogenic Communication Lab was proud to be represented at the inaugural International Conference on Primary Progressive Aphasia (ICPPA), held July 16–17, 2026, at University College London in London, England.

ICPPA brought together researchers, clinicians, and experts from around the world to share ideas and advance research and care for people living with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). We were excited to share our work, connect with colleagues, and be part of this growing international PPA community.

Our presentations:

  • Mara Steinberg Lowe and Amy Vogel-Eyny presented virtually on preliminary findings from a personalized anomia intervention combined with computer-based spaced-retrieval training for people with PPA.

  • Marina Anwia presented in person on behalf of the research team, sharing their recently published research exploring longitudinal changes in cognitive-linguistic skills during the production of expository discourse in PPA.

A special congratulations goes to Marina Anwia, who received the Best In-Person Poster Presentation Award!
